Trip to Australia

Activities included: Birdwatching, Canoeing, Horseback Riding, Mountain Climbing, Scuba Diving, Sea Kayaking, Walking, White-Water Rafting
Some call it ‘the land that time forgot’, and I can see why! Step off the sidewalk into another worl, I dare you!
No itinerary, I just winged it, I think its better that way when you dont have a rigid plan of attack. Sure I wanted to see the Sydney Opera House, and the Gold Coast blah, blah, blah. But when you stumble upon a giant bee hive, made out of wood and fiberglass, to advertise their fresh from the backyard honey. Or when you lay your eyes on the Three Sisters from the Blue Mountains cause you made a wrong turn. Can’t plan that.
Your in a land now where there are major cities, and places where people havn’t seen a coffee maker, or an electric can opener before. Its a beautiful country, one that I didn’t want to leave.
I planned to stay for a short while in Australia. I just forgot to come back! Sure my Visa and Passport were taken care of properly, but I ended up staying for almost 5 years! I’m in the military now doing my job for my country, but I promised myself that when I have finished my tour of duty that I will go back. Go see Sydney and all its beauty, take a trip up north to the gold coast (its like Las Vegas for the family on the beach!), or maybe even to Ayres Rock and stay at their new hotel out there. You want to see the real Australia? Be adventurous, turn off that main road and talk to a Native Australian!
